Sparrow

The Sparrow is designed to teach new builders every fundamental foam board building technique used across the RC plane hobby. It can be assembled as a hand-launched free-flight glider for younger or first-time builders, or wired up as a simple 3-channel RC aircraft. Its forgiving flight characteristics and quick build time make it an ideal first project for classrooms, clubs, and family builds.

Skill Level: Absolute Beginner. Purpose-built as a first project — ideal for kids, classrooms, RC clubs, and anyone picking up a hobby knife and glue gun for the first time. Minimal parts count and a short build time mean less can go wrong on the bench, and gentle flight manners mean less can go wrong in the air. As with all foam board kits, this is an airframe kit — motor, ESC, servos, battery, and radio gear are sold separately, letting you match the power system to your flying style and budget. Basic tools required: a sharp hobby knife, hot glue gun (or foam-safe CA), and a straight edge or dihedral gauge for a clean, symmetrical build.
